Solution Architect | Permanent | Melbourne Western Suburbs | Hybrid
A large, complex organisation is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join their technology function in a permanent capacity. You'll play a key role in shaping solution design across a broad portfolio of initiatives while contributing to enterprise architecture strategy and the long-term technology roadmap.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and reviewing solution architectures across multiple concurrent projects
- Providing architectural guidance to project teams, PMO, and business stakeholders
- Contributing to and participating in the Architecture Review Board
- Leading and coordinating a Solution Architecture community of practice
- Championing digital transformation initiatives and alignment with the broader technology strategy
- Mentoring and leading other Solution Architects
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT solutions and architecture
- Overseeing vendors and contractors engaged for solution architecture activities
What we're looking for
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in solution architecture across medium to large-scale projects
- Strong background in business process re-engineering and system development lifecycle
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels
- Ability to translate emerging technology trends into practical enterprise solutions
- Experience in a large, complex or multi-site organisational environment
- Higher education sector experience is advantageous but not essential
