About the role:
Electro Optic Systems is seeking to employ a Site Materials and Shipping Specialist to be a key member of the Inventory team within the Supply Chain at EOS DS. The role has an emphasis on managing materials, undertaking basic shipping tasks, coordinating logistics operations, verifying inventory, and managing the flow of materials and shipments.
The Site Materials and Shipping Specialist will manage material receipt, documentation tracking, storage, and logistics tasks to ensure that materials are received, stored, issued, moved, and counted to meet manufacturing and customer demand requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct transactions in the ERP system in accordance with EOS requirements and procedures.
- Receive, Store, Pick, Issue and move materials as required.
- Implement controls, as appropriate to ensure that materials and stores locations are kept free of dust and contaminants.
- Utilise shelf-life monitoring systems and processes to identify expired shelf-life, and arrange issue and disposal in accordance with procedures.
- Arrange for the removal of waste materials from site periodically, and as directed. Prepare and book “return to vendor” shipments from the Queanbeyan site, coordinating with EOS Quality Specialist and Purchasing team, and following EOS shipping processes and procedures.
- As required, supporting the Logistics Procurement Manager, coordinating shipments to or from EOS sites and external parties, and between EOS sites in the Canberra region in accordance with shipping processes and procedures.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience in a similar role is preferred.
- LF Forklift licence with experience operating.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, understanding of safe lifting and storage techniques and when to use available handling equipment
- Valid Australian Drivers licence (eg. ACT/NSW).
- Ability to work 5 days in office, and work from Queanbeyan and Hume.
