Their operations are central to the state's economic growth, integrating complex transmission networks with a rapidly expanding portfolio of new generation and load customers
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Leader Transmission Connections, you will be the primary interface for complex commercial agreements and high profile connection projects within a large and complex capital portfolio
You will be the person who takes complex technical, regulatory, and commercial challenges and turns them into actionable plans to ensure sustainable partnerships within the National Electricity Market
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to seamlessly onboard major new customers into the transmission network while identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary commercial interface to lead high-stakes negotiations, finalise Connection Agreements, and cultivate trusting customer relationships
- Operational Oversight: Utilise systems like SAP, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office to monitor project milestones, review technical documentation, and drive process improvements
- Performance Management: Actively foster a values-driven team culture, managing project delivery risks, and providing coaching and mentorship to developing Connection Manager
About You
You will be a collaborative specialist who operates effectively in dynamic environments and possesses a sharp commercial acumen and exceptional negotiation skills
To be considered for this role you will:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or possess equivalent professional competence
- Have a minimum of 8 years experience in project delivery, alongside a proven track record of developing and administering robust commercial agreements
- Have a practical understanding of the National Electricity Rules (NER) and the large scale renewable energy market.
- Have demonstrated experience in analytical problem-solving, critical reasoning, and the coaching or development of staff
