Senior Superannuation & Retirement Specialist
Location: Melbourne CBD
Work Type: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: $95,000 package (inclusive of super)
Flexibility: Fully office-based for the first few weeks of training, moving to a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days from home) thereafter.
About the Role
Are you a dynamic superannuation professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment? On behalf of our client—a leading industry superannuation fund—we are seeking an experienced Senior Superannuation & Retirement Specialist to join their high-performing Operations team in the Melbourne CBD.
In this inbound voice role, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert, handling complex inquiries and guiding members through their superannuation and retirement planning journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Expert Member Support: Provide end-to-end support and guidance to members regarding complex superannuation, retirement products, and investment options via inbound phone channels.
Complex Problem Solving: Navigate, investigate, and resolve escalated or intricate customer queries with a high degree of accuracy and empathy.
Regulatory Compliance: Utilise your deep understanding of superannuation legislation, compliance standards, and regulations to ensure all interactions meet industry benchmarks.
Collaboration & Escalation: Partner with internal technical and operations teams to resolve complex cases efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Identify trends from member feedback and contribute proactive insights to optimize call center processes.
Data Integrity: Maintain precise, detailed, and compliant records of all member interactions within internal CRM systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Industry Experience: Extensive, proven experience within the Australian superannuation or financial services sector (essential).
Call Centre Expertise: Demonstrated experience in an inbound voice support or customer service role, comfortably managing high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong baseline knowledge of superannuation products, retirement planning streams, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Communication Master: Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with the ability to break down complex financial jargon into simple, digestible information.
Resilience & Empathy: A proven track record of handling challenging, emotional, or sensitive member scenarios with utmost professionalism and care.
Qualifications: RG146 is required
