Randstad has partnered with Hansen Yuncken to find a dedicated Senior Site Manager to join the team on an exciting new Data Centre project in Launceston. This role is essential for ensuring operational excellence and commercial success on a high-value build.
About the Role
As a Senior Site Manager with Hansen Yuncken, you will report directly to the Project Manager and take full ownership of onsite construction activities. Your mission is to deliver a project that meets stringent quality, time, and cost targets while fostering a Safety First culture. You will be the driving force behind operational excellence, leading a project team and subcontractors to achieve a defect-free completion.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Leadership: Promote and exceed HSE obligations, ensuring total compliance with the Project Management Plan and relevant legal regulations.
- Project Programming: Plan, coordinate, and control all on-site activities, preparing regular short-term programs to minimize potential delays.
- Commercial Acumen: Work alongside the Project Manager to maintain the project budget and justify expenses.
- Quality & Systems: Implement HY’s Management Systems to ensure a high-quality project outcome that exceeds industry benchmarks.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop sound relationships with client team members and provide leadership that motivates and engages staff and contractors.
- Industrial Relations: Maintain a convivial relationship with various unions and ensure compliance with IR sections of the Project Management Plan.
About You
- You will have previous experience working on data centres or have been involved with large scale projects that have been valued at $200 million dollars or greater
- Proven Strong experience as a Site Manager on large-scale projects.
- Ability to mentor staff and manage performance appraisals.
- A track record of meeting daily and weekly work targets through effective resource management
