Joining the Information Technology Services team within the Operations Portfolio, the Senior QA Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring our digital solutions meet high-quality standards. You will work across the Delivery Portfolio, platform squads, and value streams to define testing scopes, identify automation opportunities, and manage defect triage.
As an expert in the testing domain, you will provide consultative advice to stakeholders and support Project Managers and Scrum Masters with planning and estimates. You will also be a key contributor to the QA Practice, mentoring other analysts and helping mature our QA Community of Practice.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution: Create and review test strategies, plans, and scenarios across the delivery lifecycle (Project, Enhancements, and BAU)
Quality Design: Provide QA expertise during the solution design phase to ensure systems are built for longevity and operability
Defect Management: Proactively identify, replicate, report, and track software defects to ensure timely resolution.
Collaboration: Work with Developers and DevOps Engineers to embed QA activities within CI/CD pipelines and promote a "shift-left" approach.
UAT Coordination: Provide guidance on User Acceptance Testing, including test execution and demonstration of solutions.
Documentation: Produce Test Summary Reports (TSR) and sprint status updates to demonstrate coverage and quality.
Key Selection Criteria
Expertise: Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft and solid experience with testing tools such as Jira and Test Rail.
Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of SQL (ability to write complex queries) and API testing tools like SoapUI or ReadyAPI.
Automation: Ability to create automated test cases using tools like Playwright.
Experience: At least 3 years as a Senior Testing Analyst, with experience in large-scale ($5M+) digital transformation programs.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: A degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Location: Based in Melb CBD
Employment Type: 3 month contract - Open to part time
Reporting Line: Reports to the QA Manager.
Compliance: Appointment is subject to a valid Working with Children Check.
