Randstad is proud to be partnering with our client, a leading ASX-Listed business based in Brisbane’s CBD. They are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Brisbane CBD location with easy access to public transport
Competitive salary package of $100K - $105k + Super + Bonus (potentially negotiable for the right candidate)

About the role: Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for providing advanced payroll expertise and supporting the accurate processing of payroll for all employees. Your duties will include:

Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation
Ensure the accuracy of time and attendance records, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements
Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, tax requirements, and superannuation obligations
Prepare and assist with statutory reporting, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) and payroll tax
Assist with the maintenance and optimisation of payroll systems
Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues and provide guidance to the wider team
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance service delivery
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responses

About you: You are a highly skilled payroll professional with a strong commitment to data integrity and exceptional problem-solving abilities. In addition, you have:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing within a medium to large organisation
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Previous experience with a large payroll system
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Full and unlimited Australian working rights
