Are you a highly skilled Network Engineer looking to make a significant impact on large-scale infrastructure? We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to drive the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing network environments while guiding technical transformations and upgrades. This is a long-term 12-month assignment offering the chance to work on complex, enterprise-level projects that keep our city connected and moving forward.

What You Will Do:
- Design and implement core network Quality of Service (QoS) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) schemes, including RD, RT, and VPN configurations.
- Configure geographic routing using BGP communities for vendor connectivity and implement remote site solutions using 4G routers.
- Develop automation scripts for network audits, compliance, and configuration management using tools like Ansible or Python.
- Create standardised network configuration templates for Day 0 and Day 1 deployments and manage the configuration library for routers and switches.
- Utilise Cisco DNAC and ThousandEyes for network monitoring, performance testing, and traffic analysis via NetFlow rollout.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Over 5 years of experience in Network Architecture and Core Routing within enterprise or service provider environments.
- In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, DMVPN, and WiFi.
- Proven expertise in producing high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) designs, test plans, and migration plans for large-scale networks.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Ansible or Python, alongside experience in Linux/Ubuntu system administration.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and the ability to meet strict security, background, and probity requirements.
