Are you an experienced Senior Merchandise Planner with a passion for Womenswear and a proven track record of managing high-volume portfolios? We are looking for a strategic leader to oversee a significant category value. In this role, you will drive business performance through expert financial planning, category strategy, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive merchandise financial plans using both top-down and bottom-up data to maximize sales and profit.
- Category Leadership: Create and execute a merchandise strategy that delivers on specific financial metrics while aligning with the broader business price architecture.
- Range Development: Build option plans and frameworks for Designers and Buyers, ensuring all ranges are bought within plan parameters and Open-to-Buy (OTB).
- In-Season Management: Actively manage OTB, inventory, markdowns, and promotional plans to optimize stock health.
- Performance Monitoring: Track in-season and post-season performance, collaborating with senior stakeholders on strategies to improve results.
- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 4, including Planners and Assistant Planners.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Support Senior Category Managers with supplier management, Joint Business Plans, and the planogram process.
Skills and Experience
- Apparel Expertise: Significant experience in a senior merchandise planning role, specifically within the Women’s Apparel category (this is ESSENTIAL)
- Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage large-scale portfolios and complex financial plans.
- Analytical Proficiency: Expertise in modeling, forecasting, and using metrics such as sell-through and Weeks of Supply (WOS) to manage inventory.
- Technical Skills: Experience with planning tools such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strategic Influence: Ability to influence buying decisions and collaborate effectively with Allocations and Replenishment teams.
- Operational Excellence: Disciplined approach to following critical path schedules and managing fast-moving, trend-driven fashion categories.
- Team Leadership: Previous management experience, strong leadership (this is ESSENTIAL).
