Senior Database Administrator
Ready to elevate your career as a Senior Database Administrator? We are looking for a technical expert to join a dedicated team in Brisbane, focused on a critical SQL Server 2022 upgrade project. This contract offers the chance to work autonomously while contributing to high-level system design and performance optimisation in a flexible, supportive environment.
What You Will Do:
- Upgrade a fleet of database and data warehouse servers from various legacy versions to SQL 2022.
- Manage operational planning and service delivery to ensure all business outcomes meet established Service Level Agreements.
- Maintain and optimise database performance and security through fault diagnosis, tuning, and capacity management.
- Provide expert technical advice on complex support issues and system design within the database environment.
- Assist with the development of database standards, procedures, and policies to ensure architectural compliance.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Proven experience managing and upgrading SQL Databases to SQL 2022 and overseeing ETL processes on-premise and in the Cloud.
- Strong skills in developing, administering, and maintaining business application databases and associated software.
- Ability to think laterally to identify and resolve complex problems through the implementation of improved work practices.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work autonomously and engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
