About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Officer on behalf of a large, high-profile organisation. This is an initial 6-month contract with an immediate start, offering full-time hours (40 hours per week / 8 hours per day) at an excellent rate of $62.41 per hour.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities and the seamless implementation, management, and administration of contracts. You will act as the primary Contract Manager, supporting divisional representatives with thorough stakeholder engagement and expert advice on complex procurement matters.
... Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all activities are executed efficiently and align with the organisation's overarching requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and execute comprehensive Contract Management Plans.
- Conduct regular supplier relationship management activities in line with strategic sourcing goals.
- Monitor supplier performance, implement improvement action plans, and negotiate sound commercial solutions for any disputes or issues.
- Track contract expenditure to ensure budget limits are maintained and financial risks are mitigated.
- Maintain contract data registers, perform data analysis, produce dashboards, and identify trends to present to management.
- Prepare and facilitate the compilation of procurement documentation for a range of goods and services, ensuring successful outcomes within appropriate timeframes.
- Drive continuous improvement by researching best-practice contract management methods and contributing to policy and procedural reviews.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly analytical problem-solver with a strong background in procurement and contract management. You will ideally possess:
- Proven experience in contract lifecycle management, including planning, market engagement, implementation, and ongoing management.
- Solid data analytics experience within a busy procurement environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in compiling procurement documentation, managing contractor relations, and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate consensus.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills to assess urgency and manage competing priorities effectively.
Special Requirements
- A current National Police Clearance certificate (dated within 3 months of application) must be provided.
