This is your chance to secure a 12-month contract with a genuine path to permanency, working on one of Queensland’s most significant infrastructure developments: the Coomera Connector Stage 1 South.
Based on-site in Ashmore, you will play a pivotal role in easing congestion between Logan City and the Gold Coast. This project is high-profile, fast-paced, and backed by a supportive, collaborative team culture that values commercial expertise.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Contract Administrator (or an ambitious Mid-Level CA ready to take the leap), you will partner closely with project leadership to drive end-to-end commercial outcomes. You will have full ownership of subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring strict cost control, accurate financial reporting, and robust risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Head Contract & Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of Head Contract conditions, ensuring all risks are appropriately mitigated and flowed down into subcontracts.
- Procurement & Tendering: Lead the subcontract tendering process, including scope preparation, evaluations, negotiations, and risk assessments.
- Claims & Variations: Administer subcontractor payments, variations, backcharges, and claims in strict compliance with Security of Payment legislation.
- Financial Control: Manage cost tracking, forecasting, accruals, and monthly commercial reporting to keep the project on budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Provide expert commercial advice to the project team and maintain strong, productive relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
What We Are Looking For
We are open to hearing from established Seniors OR experienced Mid-Level CAs who have the technical grounding and confidence to step into a senior remit.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant commercial discipline.
- Experience: Proven track record in contract administration, ideally within a principal contractor environment on major civil or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret head contracts, manage procurement, track forecasts, and confidently handle complex claims/variations.
- Attributes: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a proactive, team-focused approach.
