Are you a seasoned Contract Administrator who has mastered the complexities of the South Australian construction landscape? Do you find as much satisfaction in refining a project’s bottom line as you do in developing the talent around you?
Our client is a highly respected, award-winning mid-tier builder known for delivering iconic projects across the commercial, institutional, and high-end residential sectors. They have built a culture where quality is non-negotiable and people are the greatest asset.
We are seeking a Senior Contract Administrator who brings deep technical "know-how" and a passion for mentorship to help lead their commercial team.
The Role
This isn't just a "delivery" role. While you will oversee high-value projects, your primary value lies in your intellectual leadership. You will act as a technical touchstone for the team, ensuring commercial rigor while guiding junior and mid-level CAs through the nuances of the craft.
...
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from procurement and subcontract letting to final accounts and variations.
Mentorship: Act as a dedicated mentor to junior staff, upskilling them in contract law, negotiation tactics, and financial reporting.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential commercial risks early and implement robust strategies to protect project margins.
Head Contract Mastery: Navigate complex contracts with a high level of literacy and confidence.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain the "reputable" status of the brand by managing subcontractors and clients with integrity and professionalism.
What You Bring
Experience: 8+ years of experience within the Australian commercial construction industry (ideally with a mid-tier or Tier 1 builder).
Technical Depth: A comprehensive understanding of building codes, construction sequences, and the SA market.
Leadership Heart: A genuine desire to teach. You measure your success not just by your project's profit, but by the growth of your team.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Why Join This Team?
Award-Winning Pipeline: Work on sophisticated, diverse projects that win MBA and HIA awards.
Stability & Reputation: Join a builder with a "blue-chip" reputation in Adelaide and a rock-solid balance sheet.
Culture of Excellence: A professional yet down-to-earth environment where your expertise is respected, and your voice is heard at the leadership level.
Top-Tier Remuneration: A salary package that reflects your seniority and the unique mentorship value you bring to the business.
