We are seeking a highly skilled CI/CD Engineer to join a mission critical digital transformation project. In this role, you will be the primary architect of automation, responsible for streamlining the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensuring that code moves from development to production with maximum speed and reliability.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Security Clearance
You MUST possess a current AGSVA Baseline, NV1, or NV2 security clearance. Applications without a verifiable Australian Government clearance will not be considered due to the sensitive nature of the project environment.
The Role
As a CI/CD Specialist, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. Your focus will be on building robust, automated workflows that support both AWS and Azure ecosystems, ensuring a seamless experience for engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.
- Migration & Enablement: Develop comprehensive migration plans and author "developer enablement" documentation to help teams adopt modern DevOps practices.
- Tool Integration: Orchestrate and integrate a modern tech stack, including Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes, to optimise delivery cycles.
- Collaborative DevOps: Partner with developers and QA teams to resolve complex merge conflicts and embed automated testing into the core workflow.
- System Health: Proactively monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot deployment failures, and implement high-availability solutions.
- Release Management: Oversee source code repositories and manage release branching strategies to ensure stable version control.
Your Technical Profile
We are looking for a veteran automation expert with 5–10+ years of hands-on experience delivering CI/CD services in multi-cloud environments.
Technical Essentials:
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: Strong functional knowledge of both AWS and Azure IaaS services.
- Automation Tooling: Deep proficiency with Jenkins, Git, and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Scripting Mastery: Advanced ability to write automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Groovy.
- Infrastructure & Security: A solid understanding of system administration, networking, and security best practices within a cloud context.
- Frameworks: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Highly Regarded: AWS or Azure certifications (specifically DevOps Engineer or Administrator Associate).
- Sector Experience: Previous experience working within the Australian Government or other highly regulated, secure environments is a major advantage.
At Randstad Digital, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
