This is a hands-on role, ideal for the type of individual who is looking to assist broadly across the business in a functional capacity while building capability towards a more strategic function.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Communications: Drive trust in internal capabilities, partner with executive leadership, and craft compelling narratives to keep the business connected and engaged during its transformation.
- External Stakeholder Engagement: Manage vital relationships with Community, Local Council, and Government stakeholders as the organisation evolves its future corporate plan and strategy reports.
- Brand & Digital Evolution: Champion the upcoming brand refresh (a key Board priority), drive stakeholder engagement plans, and modernise digital channels, including website content and emerging technologies.
- Media & BAU Management: Oversee the media enquiry inbox, draft high-level executive correspondence, and establish a centralized communications register.
- Operations & Projects: Lead end-to-end communication projects, manage specialist providers, and assist with general administration, including invoicing and procurement.
About You
We are looking for a nimble communicator with a great breadth of experience who can scale their impact quickly. To succeed in this standalone environment, you will bring:
- A Versatile Skill Set: Proven experience spanning internal communications, media management, public relations, and external stakeholder engagement.
- Content & Digital Savvy: Proficiency in managing websites, social media, and digital marketing strategies (SEO, content marketing), with a sharp eye for maintaining brand consistency.
- Project Management & Admin Acumen: Comfort handling project delivery, budget tracking, procurement, and invoicing alongside strategic tasks.
- Adaptability: A proactive mindset, comfortable navigating a dynamic environment with changing priorities and cross-functional demands.
- Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in a related field (Communications, Public Relations, Marketing) or equivalent significant industry experience.
Why Apply?
