As a Security Advisor, you will….
show more- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance on Personnel, Physical, Information, and Communications security, as well as Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
- Compliance & DISP: Perform Security Officer duties as defined in the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
- Policy & Audit: Assist with the audit, review, and updating of internal security policies and procedures to maintain external licenses.
- Incident Management: Assist in preparing incident and contact reports for submission to external agencies.
- Security Awareness: Support the delivery of security education, training, and awareness programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and manage effective working relationships with internal staff, contractors, and various Commonwealth agencies.
About You:
- Clearance: Must hold a current AGSVA TS PV clearance.
- Experience: A preferred minimum of two years’ experience within a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of managing security keys, safes, electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control), and safe-hand processes.
- Qualifications: Certificate III/IV in Security Operations and completion of the Defence Security Officers course (or equivalent).
- Regulatory Knowledge: A sound working knowledge of the DSPF and PSPF.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to support positive employee engagement and detailed reporting.
