The Opportunity
On behalf of a leading essential services provider responsible for crucial water and wastewater services across a major metropolitan and regional areas, we are seeking an experienced Specialist Architect - Salesforce.
This is a pivotal role within their Digital & Information (D&I) environment, focusing on architecting expert solutions for customer information and the Salesforce Platform. You will be joining an organisation committed to operational excellence and serving the community, where your expertise will directly contribute to the effective delivery of essential services.
While reporting to the Solution Design and Assurance Lead, you will operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving the design, assurance, and successful integration of complex, customer-related solutions, including CRM and Field Services based initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
As the Specialist Salesforce Architect, your core focus will be to leverage your deep technical expertise to ensure architectural integrity, technical alignment, and regulatory compliance.
Solution & Systems Design (ARCH/DESN): Lead the development of multi-dimensional solution architectures, particularly within the Salesforce domain, ensuring designs meet specified requirements and balance both functional and non-functional needs.
Salesforce Platform Expertise: Contribute expert architectural solutions involving the Salesforce Platform, providing technical guidance throughout the development and integration lifecycle.
Architecture Assurance: Play a vital role in both the development and assurance of solution designs within the D&I landscape, ensuring technical strategies, policies, and standards are correctly applied.
Strategic Alignment (STPL): Develop models and roadmaps that align the technology strategy (specifically involving customer information systems) with the overarching business mission and objectives.
Integration & Security (SINT/SCTY): Design and implement complex system integrations to ensure seamless interaction between Salesforce and other disparate systems. Lead the design of security strategies and controls to safeguard systems and data integrity.
Stakeholder Management (RLMT): Facilitate open communication and decision-making between technical and business stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for architectural matters.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role, you will need to demonstrate:
Extensive Experience (3-6 years): Proven experience in a similar specialist or solution architecture capacity.
Salesforce Technical Expertise (Minimum 2 years): Demonstrable technical experience specifically with the Salesforce Platform and its ecosystem.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree in a relevant subject area is highly regarded.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Architect track) are essential, and a TOGAF Practitioner certification is highly desirable.
Analytical & Governance Skills: Proven ability in business situation analysis, risk management, and defining/operating effective architectural governance frameworks.
On-Call Availability: Due to the critical nature of essential services, this role has an inherent requirement to perform on-call duties outside of normal working hours (evenings, weekends, and public holidays) on a rotational basis. Compensation for this availability is included in the package.
