About your next role
You will manage the daily operations of a 24-room accommodation facility on behalf of Yolngu traditional owners to ensure a positive guest experience and provide meaningful career pathways for local staff.
- Provide physical and administrative support for the Lodge, including stock control, cleaning, and logistics
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Yolngu staff to support their development and professional growth
- Undertake facility maintenance, equipment management, and scheduling of repairs
- Implement internal and external marketing strategies to build the client base and promote online bookings
- Coordinate with the ALPA Registered Training Organisation to support staff training initiatives
- Manage supplementary labour requirements based on occupancy levels and maintenance needs
- Provide regular reporting on staff performance and the status of planned improvements to the Enterprise Operations Manager
- Act as a champion for ALPA values and maintain a strict commitment to work health and safety
What you will need to bring
Proven experience at a supervisory level within an accommodation or hospitality business
High ethical standards, personal integrity, and the capacity to link daily tasks to organizational values
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication for people of diverse language abilities and ethnic origins
Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
The ability to make sound decisions and respond promptly to changing circumstances in a dynamic work environment
Experience working with First Nations people in a remote environment (highly desirable)
Qualifications in hospitality or business management (highly desirable)
