The Role: Your Day-to-Day Impact As a crucial member of the waste collection team, you will be responsible for providing essential services to the community through a hands-on, active role.

• Collecting kerbside waste, including general waste, recycling, and green waste.
• Running behind the waste truck and efficiently loading bins into rear loaders.
• Operating bin lifters and compactors while strictly following safety protocols.
• Communicating respectfully with the public and adapting to daily route changes.
• Providing strong, reliable support to your driver.

Essential Requirements for Success

• Physical Fitness: This is a demanding role—you must be prepared to run/walk 15-20 km per day and be capable of lifting bins up to 30 kg.
• Reliability: Own, reliable transportation is essential for early morning starts at the Eastern Creek, Greenacre & Mascot depot.
• Commitment: A strong, positive attitude with a commitment to safety and teamwork is paramount.
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug & alcohol test and a police check.
• Prior experience in waste collection or other physically demanding outdoor work is a bonus, but not essential—we train the right candidates!
