Key Responsibilities:
Updating Property Records: Processing updates for building permits, subdivisions, and consolidations, and reviewing planning permits for changes in how properties are used
Providing Team Support: Giving crucial administrative and clerical support to the Rates and Revenue teams, including helping with basic valuation tasks
Handling Queries: Answering ratepayer inquiries on the phone and in person, giving clear advice, and preparing written responses
Maintaining the Database: Keeping the council's property, rates, and valuation database up to date, including day-to-day changes of ownership and address
Issuing Certificates: Processing Land Information Certificates quickly and efficiently, and creating new property records for unit developments
Handling Basic Financials: Helping process account refunds, financial adjustments, and waste service requests
Key Skills:
Experience in Local Government property, rates, and valuations is highly desirable
Pathway experience is desired but not essential
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
