Are you an experienced, Licensed Electrician with a current Rail Industry Worker Card looking to be the safety and compliance backbone of critical infrastructure projects across Sydney?
Our client, a leading contractor in the infrastructure and communications space, is expanding its project delivery team and needs multiple highly skilled, safety-driven Electricians. You will be instrumental in the installation, maintenance, and compliance of Low Voltage (LV) power systems for essential racks, devices, and communications equipment within rail and large-scale infrastructure environments.
This role offers specialised training (MTS Permit Holder Electrical and Substation Access) to equip you for HV and substation environments, positioning you as a crucial safety leader on highly complex worksites.
Key Responsibilities:
LV Installation & Maintenance: Install, terminate, and maintain LV power cabling for essential communications racks and devices.
Safety & Compliance Leader: Ensure all electrical works in rail and infrastructure environments adhere to strict WHS and rail safety regulations.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and fault diagnosis using approved electrical tools (multi-meters, Ethernet testers, etc.).
Operational Assurance: Read and accurately interpret electrical and communications drawings to guarantee compliant installations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cablers and fibre optic specialists to ensure seamless project delivery.
Safety Protocols: Maintain strict adherence to operational safety, especially around live networks and systems.

Current Electrical License (NSW)
Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
White Card (Construction Induction)
Working at Heights Certification
Skills & Experience:
Proven, hands-on experience in LV electrical installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis
Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, safety, and operational protocols in high-risk environments (rail, industrial, or infrastructure)
Commitment to Training:

Prior working experience within a rail corridor or substations
A strong understanding and application of HSEQ frameworks on complex projects
The ability to thrive in multi-disciplinary teams and meet challenging project deadlines
