Randstad is proud to partner with a Government Department to recruit for a dedicated Project Officer specializing in HR Systems. This role is pivotal in delivering strategic projects that advance organizational objectives and improve outcomes for participants.
Position Overview
- Pay Rate: Competitive APS6 hourly rate, $60.26 + super
- Location: Geelong, VIC.
- Contract Length: 12 month contract with potential for extension (subject to Department requirements).
- Reporting to: EL1 Business Analyst.
- Working Environment: Hybrid
Role Responsibilities
As a Project Officer, you will apply your professional expertise to manage project components and ensure quality outputs aligned with the Department's values. Your duties will include:
- Project Governance: Maintaining essential documentation including plans, risk logs, and registers using Department frameworks.
- System Support: Assisting with system configuration, data migration, testing, and validation activities.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinating inclusive communication and maintaining relationships with ICT and HR subject matter experts.
- Analysis & Reporting: Conducting research to inform policy development and monitoring project progress to recommend solutions.
- Operational Support: Developing training materials and providing hands-on support to users during pilot and go-live phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes and improving system functionality.
Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate a blend of technical project skills and public sector knowledge:
- Project Coordination: Well-developed coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under limited direction.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using project management and productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and MS Project.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships and solve complex problems.
- Analytical Skills: Proven problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Framework Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation (such as the Public Service Act 1999) and government project management methodologies.
- Desired Experience: Experience supporting ESM platforms (e.g., Atlassian Product Suite) or HR system implementations (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Aurion).
- Must be Australian citzen
