This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the world’s leading cloud infrastructure providers. As they continue to rapidly expand their APAC digital footprint, they are seeking a highly strategic and data-driven Project Manager to spearhead pre-construction and front-end planning operations.
Based in North Ryde on an initial 12-month contract, you will bridge the rap between pre-construction planning and delivery execution. You will lead the technical review process across delivery and construction, ensuring all hyper-scale projects maintain a complete, accurate, and actionable risk profile throughout their lifecycle.
This role requires a unique blend of construction planning governance, risk modelling, commercial acumen, and stakeholder orchestration across a global matrix environment.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight & Pre-Construction Governance
... - Lead and manage the Tech Review process across Delivery and Construction, ensuring teams complete inputs, consolidate risk data, and meet agreed SLAs.
- Define and enforce Front-End Non-Negotiables across regional project delivery teams.
- Review pre-construction schedules and coordinate with infrastructure stakeholders to ensure full colocation (COLO) alignment with updated planning specs.
- Support planning teams in benchmarking net-new projects to establish baseline delivery durations across the APAC portfolio.
- Partner with global central teams to develop scalable, end-to-end front-end processes, defining risk-register structures and RACI ownership models.
Commercial Alignment & Project Handover
- Partner with Commercial teams during pre-construction to ensure NRC/NTE (Non-Recurring Costs / Not-to-Exceed) considerations are fully incorporated into delivery planning.
- Track costs, contracts, design, schedules, and commercials to baseline the end-to-end program before executing a seamless handover to Delivery Technical Program Managers (TPMs).
- Keep pre-construction project data meticulously updated, aligning dates from multiple sources and tracking downstream changes.
Data, Metrics & Reporting
- Drive data-backed decision-making by consolidating cost, planning, and delivery metrics to improve portfolio visibility.
- Partner with global analytics teams to embed standardised risk codes into reporting frameworks to support historical trend analysis and predictive risk modelling.
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards covering risk management, commercial performance, procurement, and delivery health metrics.
- Contribute to key colocation hold points, assessing risks and defining the clear pathway to Ready For Service (RFS).
To be successful in this highly visible role, you will bring:
- Infrastructure Experience: A proven track record in program management or project controls within large-scale data centres, hyper-scale cloud infrastructure, or complex telecommunications/civil construction environments.
- Pre-Construction Expertise: Deep understanding of front-end planning, Colocation (COLO) provider models, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) gap analysis, and project benchmarking.
- Data & Analytics Savvy: Strong capability in building reporting frameworks, tracking delivery health metrics, and utilising predictive risk data.
- Commercial & Risk Acumen: Familiarity with managing project commercials (NRC/NTE) and driving strict governance SLAs.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, global central groups, and regional APAC leadership.
In this role, you will influence the foundational planning of world-class cloud infrastructure in a collaborative, high-performance culture with a flexible hybrid working environment, offering long-term contract stability with a global technology giant.
Based in the head office in North Ryde, some hybrid working flexibility will be offered.
