A leading government authority in the Northern Beaches region is seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Project Manager to lead the revitalisation of The Strand, adjacent to Dee Why Beach. This is a critical civil infrastructure and streetscape project requiring end-to-end management from design through to construction.
- Contract: 12-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension to two years.
- Remuneration: competitive rate (PAYG or Pty LTD options).
The Role As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle of these important civil works and streetscape upgrades. This is an on-site, hands-on role where you will manage all aspects, including:
- Coordinating design for streetscape works, including negotiation during the initial 3–4 month design phase.
- Managing procurement and overseeing construction, focusing on civil works such as kerb, gutter, and drainage, along with minor landscaping.
- Leading community consultation and managing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly local shopkeepers.
- Directly managing and looking after external consultants and contractors on site.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil works, streetscape, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Must be a self-sufficient, experienced PM capable of managing the project independently.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate both consultants (design) and contractors (construction).
- Local government experience is not required.
- Must hold Australian work rights and local experience.
