The Role: Project Manager - Wireless Traffic Sensors (WTS) Capability Improvements
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Wireless Traffic Sensors (WTS) capability improvements project.
WTS are essential for capturing travel time data used for operational and reporting purposes. The current systems face challenges such as overlapping functionalities, limited support, configuration issues, and latency problems. This project aims to modernise and optimise these data transfer systems and define requirements for future contracts to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Support the management and successful delivery of the WTS capability improvement project and its work packages.
Work closely with vendors, technical teams, and business units to deliver solutions that meet organisational needs.
Engage with stakeholders to refresh and document clear business requirements.
Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and business units to ensure all requirements are captured and addressed.
Provide effective management of risks, issues, conflicts, and priorities.
Develop and maintain project schedules.
Provide timely and accurate reporting on the progress of the project and work packages to all stakeholders.
Develop project artefacts, including business and technical requirements for procurement activities.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within the field of intelligent transport systems.
Strong understanding of Queensland Government ICT policies and frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
A proven track record of successful project delivery.
