We have an immediate need for a Project Manager at an AO7 level.
The primary purpose of the Project Manager is to provide a high level of skill, leadership and professional knowledge in the delivery of project management consulting services

- End-to-End Delivery: Coordinate all aspects of building project implementation including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction activities.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients. Coordinate project staff, external consultants, building contractors, and local authorities.
Commercial & Financial Control: Manage project cash flows and budgets to meet profitability targets. Generate exception reports for variances and perform project performance audits.
Contract Administration: Provide high-level contract coordination across both traditional and non-traditional contract systems.
Value-for-Money Negotiations: Lead negotiations with consultants, contractors, and departmental stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions.
What we are looking for:
Government Experience: Previous experience working within a Queensland Government department or agency is highly desirable and will be prioritized.
Industry Knowledge: Proven experience managing building and construction projects with strong contract administration skills.
Communication & Leadership: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups (internal and external).
Qualifications: A valid Driver’s Licence is mandatory. A relevant tertiary qualification (Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, or Quantity Surveying) is highly regarded but not essential.
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
