The Opportunity
This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will be the face of the project. You will spend your time between the head office and the project site, ensuring the final stages of the membrane application are executed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, lead on-site teams, and manage staff allocation to ensure maximum productivity.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for the client, managing expectations, sequencing works, and maintaining a high-trust relationship.
Commercial Oversight: Manage the remaining $1.6M budget, prepare monthly invoicing/projections, and ensure all variations are identified and approved in writing.
Safety & Quality: Take full responsibility for site safety (JSEAs, SWMS, and OHS plans) and ensure technical specifications are met without compromise.
About You
To be successful in this role, you need to be a logical thinker with a high-energy, proactive approach. My client prides themselves on a positive culture, so a "cheerful" and professional demeanour is essential for motivating the site teams.
Technical Requirements:
Proven Experience: Significant experience managing construction projects (specialist trades or waterproofing experience is highly regarded).
Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to manage budgets, claims, and contractual obligations.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-level client negotiation.
Compliance: Valid Driver’s License and Construction Industry White Card.
Tech Savvy: Intermediate computer skills for administration and reporting.
Why Apply?
Autonomy: You will have the authority to manage the project as your own, supported by a structured management team.
High-Profile Project: Play a key role in the completion of a major residential development in the heart of the city.
Immediate Start: If you are between contracts or looking for a high-impact short-term role, this is the perfect opportunity.
This is an urgent requirement with interviews taking place immediately.
