The Project Engineer will be responsible for developing and delivering road, bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects across NSW for Transport for NSW.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage project and delivery process including the delivery of direct control and contract works to ensure projects are are delivered to agreed objectives
- Manage the investigation and design process by developing project briefs and cost estimates, procuring and overseeing service providers, monitoring and reviewing ongoing work programs
- Prepare contract documents for bridge and road projects, including technical specifications to engage, administer and deliver contract works and ensure efficient project delivery
- Implement effective cost management systems to ensure efficient financial management of projects
Key Requirements
- A four- year engineering (Electrical / Civil or related) degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road, bridge and traffic infrastructure construction and maintenance
- Experience in the preparation of competitive and accurate estimates, job programs, project delivery briefs and WHS management plans
- Expeirnece managing a direct control workforce to successfully undertake construction and maintenance projects
- Knowledg of tenders and contract management requirements
This is a short term contract role through to the end of January 2026 with possible extension.
You will need to be based in NSW currently and ready to start in the next 2 weeks.
