Overview
This is a compelling opportunity to join a leading organization as a Product Owner working on a large-scale hardship transformation program, where you will act as the primary bridge between customer needs and technical execution. You will lead a cross-functional squad to deliver end-to-end outcomes, maintaining a clear vision and roadmap while balancing commercial realities with the "voice of the customer." Your goal is to maximize value by protecting the squad's focus, managing complex backlogs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and "progress over perfection."
Key Criteria
4–6 years of experience mobilizing and supporting medium, cross-functional, and self-managing teams.
Deep understanding of financial domain, preferably within Banking from either a business or technology perspective.
- Experience working on Hardship programs of work is needed
- Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Human-Centered Design (HCD).
Proven ability in strategic thinking, market analysis, and competitor research.
Demonstrated expertise in opportunity identification and business case creation.
Strong analytical skills with evidence-based decision-making capabilities.
Tertiary qualifications are required, with a preference for post-graduate degrees.

Key Responsibilities
Vision and Roadmap Management: Communicate and maintain the product vision, goals, and product roadmap while representing the voice of the customer and colleague.
Backlog Prioritization: Own and prioritize a medium-complexity backlog, ensuring the squad focuses on high-value features and user stories in line with Domain cadence.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, providing transparency, managing expectations, and protecting the squad from context-switching.
Agile Leadership: Collaborate with the Scrum Master to deliver the backlog, participate in all Agile ceremonies, and define Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done.
Product Lifecycle & Risk: Manage products with financial or performance targets, ensuring adherence to risk management frameworks, monitoring metrics like customer complaints, and escalating blockers.
Discovery and Innovation: Lead workshops through discovery and development stages, utilizing a "test and learn" mindset to solve problems and create product collateral.
