We are currently seeking Procurement and Contracts Management professionals with SA Government experience. The successful candidates will be responsible for end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring value for money, and maintaining rigorous compliance with the South Australian Procurement Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Procurement: Lead the development of acquisition plans, market approaches (RFT, RFP, RFQ), and comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Contract Management: Oversee the performance of key suppliers, manage contract variations, and ensure all deliverables meet specified KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal business units and external vendors to provide expert commercial advice and foster collaborative relationships.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all activities strictly adhere to the South Australian Government Procurement Policy Framework and Treasurer’s Instructions.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and social procurement outcomes aligned with State objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- SA Government Expertise: Proven experience working within a South Australian Government agency, with a deep understanding of the local procurement landscape.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex legal and commercial contract terms.
- Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in evaluating bids, assessing risk, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, particularly in drafting formal ministerial briefings and procurement documentation.
