This position offers the best of both worlds: leading a classroom and spearheading our Physical Education (PE) program. We are looking for an educator who is flexible, adaptable, and ready to inspire students across all year levels, from Foundation (Prep) to Grade 6.
Key Responsibilities
Dual Instruction: Deliver engaging classroom curriculum and high-energy PE lessons that promote health, teamwork, and motor skill development.
Flexibility: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students across the P-6 spectrum.
Curriculum Excellence: Plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
Student Wellbeing: Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, both in the classroom and on the sporting field.
Collaboration: Work closely with the teaching team to integrate physical health initiatives into the broader school curriculum.
What We Are Looking For
Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude with the ability to pivot between classroom and specialist roles.
Experience: Proven ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics and deliver age-appropriate PE activities for ages 5 to 12.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with students, families, and the Broadmeadows community.
Registration: Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or eligibility).
