As a People Experience Advisor, you will be a key member of the People and Culture team, dedicated to delivering a seamless, high-quality experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Acting as a trusted partner to our leaders, you will balance operational excellence with strategic insights to support the organization's critical public services.
In this diverse and dynamic role, you will provide essential Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR advisory support, drawing on your sound knowledge of workplace relations legislation, policies, and industrial instruments. You will act as a steward for our people data, managing end-to-end recruitment pipelines, onboarding workflows, and internal staff movements while maintaining high data integrity within our enterprise systems.

Key Accountabilities:
- Use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor your workflow in the delivery of organisational priorities in accordance with approved project / service plans, achieving the highest standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.
- High level professional advisory responses to shared mailbox enquiries and provide policy advice in a consistent and timely manner. You will apply your deep knowledge of workplace relations related legislation, industrial instruments and our policies and practices to provide expert advice and tools to leaders.
- Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.
- Manage the placement of vacancy advertising and support hiring managers with position description review, conducting job evaluation and submitting for panel consideration, recruitment, selection, compliance screening validation and offer processes.
- Coordinate onboarding procedures including all payroll related information collation.
- Process employment movements, manage secondments into and from the organisation and internal reassignments to ensure internal HR system (Success Factors) accurately reflects workforce deployment.
- Responsible for understanding P&C reporting requirements (internal and external) and analysing, organising and presenting data and dashboards to assist with business decisions and compliance reporting requirements including managing the establishment governance process.
- Identify and escalate trends to Manager and Human Resource Business Partner which require continuous improvement practices to improve employee experience, reduce unnecessary conflict and enhance leader self-efficacy.
- Undertake system administrative processes (Success Factors) and other tasks as directed for the effective achievement of regulatory outcomes; ensure that all Government and organisational policies and procedures, such as financial management, occupational health and safety, and conduct are complied with.
- Other duties as required in accordance with strategic objectives, business plans, local workload priorities, unit projects and performance management review and progression assessment.
- Represent the organisation positively in engaging with the community and external stakeholders to build knowledge and awareness of the laws, regulations, and protections relevant to our purpose, and our role as an independent regulator.
- Take a problem-solving approach to work, utilising modern regulatory powers and tools with a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring a unified, organisation-wide approach to delivering priority outcomes.
Key selection criteria
- Experience and qualifications
- Relevant formal studies in human resources or a related discipline are desirable.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes, preferably within Government.
- Familiarity with a contemporary HCM platform (e.g. Success Factors, Oracle) to advanced user standard desirable.
- Knowledge and skills
- Ability to accurately collates and transfer information from various sources into an enterprise critical information system is essential.
- A positive customer service ethos demonstrated by a responsive, solution finding approach.
- Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
- An understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.

- Demonstrated capability to deliver projects / programs to plan, including the management of risks, prioritisation of tasks, monitoring of workflow; and contributing to the evaluation of project/program effectiveness; use of initiative to identify, communicate, and address delivery risks and opportunities to improve organisational outcomes.
- A proven record of achievement in a similar role contributing to organisational excellence, high standards of performance and a positive organisational culture.
