About the Role
Our client is a VIC State government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist - Audit and Remediation to come in and work with them on a 16 week (4 month) temp contract with possible extensions.

- Strong experience in a Payroll Lead position
- Significant experience in Payroll audit (desirable if there is experience with an EBA Implementation audit)
- Experienced with Payroll Remediation programs
- Experience within VPS change management environment (including leading the payroll component of organisational restructure such as redundancy packages etc)
- SAP System experience (Desirable)
Key responsibilities will include:
- VPS Enterprise Agreement Health Check Audit including completion of current Audit Management Action: Lead audit, commence procurement and manage action items through to final reporting
- Coordination of Pay Day Super configuration: Manage configuration, follow-ups, testing, and readiness for STP2 testing & go-live
- Payroll remediation & underpayments: Coordinate staff communications, letters, and execution of underpayments in the pay-run
- Payroll remediation & overpayments: Confirm recovery plan and oversee repayments being actioned with Payroll
- Reporting & Governance: Deliver remediation summary report for RAC / leadership
- RV Transition Support: Provide onboarding/transition support and ad hoc work through the period
About You
You will be an experienced Payroll Specialist in Auditing and Remediation work with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Strong experience in a Payroll Lead position
- Significant experience in Payroll audit (desirable if there is experience with an EBA Implementation audit)
- Experienced with Payroll Remediation programs
- Experience within VPS change management environment (including leading the payroll component of organisational restructure such as redundancy packages etc)
