Randstad is pleased to be partnering with a highly respected Queensland business and household name based in Brisbane’s Southern suburbs. They are a stable and well-regarded organisation currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their professional team on a fixed-term contract until Christmas, with the potential for further extension.

- Generous salary on offer from $90,000 to $100,000 + Super, depending on experience
- Hybrid role - 2 days WFH

About the role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working in a collaborative team environment, your duties will include:
- Preparing and delivering end-to-end fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Updating and maintaining employee records, including new starters, transfers, and terminations
- Processing complex payroll tasks including redundancies and leave entitlements
- Interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and individual employee contracts
- Managing end-of-month tasks such as payroll tax, PAYG tax, and superannuation reconciliations
- Liaising with external bodies including the ATO, Centrelink, and superannuation funds
- Responding to and resolving complex payroll and system queries
About you:
- 5+ years experience in a dedicated payroll position
- Experience with Chris21 or iChris (essential)
- Proven experience in processing redundancies
- Strong knowledge of Australian legislation, including PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing high-level customer service
