About the Role
As our MPS Account Manager, you will take ownership of the daily engagement with our Commercial Partners. Working collaboratively with the broader Marketing Partner Services team, you will design and drive strategic marketing initiatives that deliver on our partners' core business objectives across the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Movements. Reporting to the Head of MPS, this role also includes opportunities for domestic and international travel for events, partner meetings, and conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Account Manager leading the day-to-day relationship and needs of multiple commercial partner teams including brand leads, agencies, and marketing units.
- Coordinate ongoing client engagement through meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence to deliver to client contractual requirements.
- Provide a high level of client engagement and responsiveness to build strong and constructive relationships with each Partner. Demonstrate understanding of client needs, priorities, preference and contractual deliverables.
- Drive all contractual deliverables and activation of partners, coordinating with MPS leadership and internal cross-functional departments to properly plan and ensure successful delivery for partners.
- Support partner facilitation and the execution of Games-time contractual obligations, ensuring all commercial efforts track against key KPIs to achieve both immediate and long-term business goals.
- Support facilitation of partners’ product integration supply rights, Value in Kind (VIK) obligations, and opportunities between Partner, Brisbane 2032 , AOC and PA.
- Support the Rights Approval Associate with partner creative and approvals via the IOC’s Track system
- Collaborate with project management staff to lead projects and produce key deliverables, such as presentations and tracking documents, while liaising with the IOC, IPC, AOC, and PA to drive quality and continuous improvement in our ways of working.
Skills and Experience
- Direct experience in sports business or related marketing environment
- Proven hands-on experience developing and maintaining strategic partner relationships, backed by strong operational and program execution skills.
- Excellent teamwork with proactive communication style which drives results
- Strong cross-functional skills, and a capacity for creativity/innovation
- Excellent presentation preparation skills and ability to work successfully with varied audiences (colleagues, business partners, collaborators, and senior members of the organisation)
- Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a plus but not required.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented self-starter who excels at communicating across all levels and managing multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Drive win-win outcomes with partners by combining a solution-oriented mindset, an active commitment to tracking industry trends, and a highly collaborative approach to co-creation.
