The Role
Based in the operations team, you will be the core driver of daily service delivery. You'll be responsible for the efficient allocation of a busy fleet, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing essential coaching to a dedicated team of front-line staff. This is a high-impact, hands-on role perfect for a natural problem-solver.
This opportunity is structured as an initial contract engagement with a clear path to permanent employment. It offers a perfect opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and seamlessly transition into a long-term role within a respected global business.
Potential permanent salary is $70-$80K + super, depending on experience.
Your Key Deliverables
- Fleet Allocation & Routing: Master scheduling and dispatch to maximise daily service completion and efficiency.
- Performance & Compliance: Conduct detailed end-of-day debriefs and real-time monitoring to ensure compliance and service excellence.
- People Leadership: Oversee driver training, provide support, and manage operational incidents and follow-ups.
- Operational Excellence: Proactively resolve complex service issues and track vehicle maintenance to guarantee smooth operations.
What You Bring
- Proven leadership experience (3+ years) in a fast-paced logistics, operations, or fleet management environment.
- Strong scheduling skills, exceptional communication, and a clear customer-first mindset.
- Experience in the Resource Recovery sector is a major advantage.
