Operations Manager – Clinical Leadership

Leading Not-for-Profit Dermatology Training
This 12-month contract offers a sophisticated leadership opportunity to provide strategic oversight and operational management for a specialist clinic and training programs.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of clinical and administrative functions. You’ll play a central role in advancing charitable objectives, including rural outreach and registrar training, while maintaining high-quality patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
...- Strategic Leadership: Provide operational oversight of clinical functions in alignment with Board directives and organisational policies.
- Governance & Compliance: Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and quality systems to ensure legislative and accreditation requirements are met.
- Workforce Coordination: Lead and hold senior managers accountable, ensuring staffing aligns with clinical requirements and service delivery.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee financial performance, manage budgets, and identify resource efficiencies to ensure long-term viability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for staff, contractors, and external partners.
- Reporting: Deliver high-level reporting and analysis to the Board to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead audits and policy reviews to strengthen safety, quality, and patient flow.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Practice, Operations, or Business Management.
- Leadership: Proven capability in enterprise-level strategic leadership and managing senior staff.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Canva.
- Integrity: Ability to exercise sound judgment and ethical leadership in complex environments.
- Compliance: Current vaccinations and a commitment to workplace health and safety.
Desirable Attributes:
- Sector Knowledge: Previous experience within the Health Sector or a specialist clinical environment.
- Communication: Exceptional board-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic clinical environment and respond to changing service demands.
