Randstad are proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We have an immediate need for an OO6 Supervisor located at Cannon Hill.
The responsibility of the Supervisor is to assist in managing and coordinating project planning and delivery activities in order to maximise project profitability and ensure client satisfaction, provide supervisory services to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade works being undertaken and to provide inspection services in accordance with KPI’s, liaise with customers, subcontractors and other business areas, and complete scope works and provide estimates as required.
Key Responsibilities
... Operational Supervision: Direct the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works through the efficient supervision of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
Estimating & Tendering: Produce high-quality tender documentation, accurate estimates, trade packages, and construction programs.
Technical Scoping: Coordinate high-quality scoping services, including inspections/surveys of building elements and collecting suspected asbestos samples for testing.
Safety Governance: Manage the Safety Management System (SMS), facilitate WHS audits, and ensure all job documentation includes appropriate SWMS or risk assessments.
Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients and subcontractors to ensure project objectives and KPIs are met.
Business Development: Promote products and services to customers through established forums and identify opportunities for new business based on economic and legislative programs.
The Ideal Candidate
A senior operational professional with hands on experience to add to their leadership style and strong administrative acumen.
Requirements:
Licensing: Current Open Driver’s Licence (Mandatory).
- Working Rights: Evidence of current Australian working rights will be required for this application.
Technical Skills: High-level computer skills and experience with government procurement frameworks (Excel, MS suite).
Communication: Exceptional ability to provide and receive clear, direct instructions.
Contract Management: Proven skills in managing subcontractors and ensuring quality of workmanship.
WHS Commitment: Deep understanding of workplace health and safety, employment equity, and anti-discrimination principles.
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
