The Company
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the fleet and administration sector, based in the Adelaide area. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to be the administrative and financial backbone of their local team. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The Role
This is a dynamic and hands-on position requiring strong financial acumen and people management skills. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the office and providing critical support across finance, administration, and team oversight.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Financial Management: Overseeing all core finance functions, including AP & AR, debtors, bank reconciliation and managing cashflow. This involves processing weekly payroll journals, fuel uploads, driver reimbursements and reconciling company credit cards. You will also revoke & authorise bank transactions.
- Team Leadership: Providing line management to Settlement Officers, Fleet Administration, and AP & AR Officers. This includes assisting with recruitment (onboarding & offboarding) and constructing weekly attendance.
- Office Operations: Arranging office and birthday functions and executing documents via docusign. You will also cover essential tasks in the absence of staff.
- Compliance & Problem Solving: Conducting a monthly office audit, acting as the Fire Warden and serving as the PPSR recorded contact. You will problem-solve budget/provision queries and manage specific projects like asset write-off payouts and DriverCare recharges.
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in an Office Management or similar senior administrative/finance role.
- Strong experience with payroll processes, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management.
- Excellent line management and team coordination abilities.
- High proficiency in office systems, including Xero is desirable (for daily bill processing).
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
