Werribee Mercy Hospital is doubling its ED capacity to 67 treatment spaces. We are looking for the next generation of ED clinicians (PGY3–4+) to help us launch this massive expansion and grow with us long-term. This is a rare opportunity to work in a brand-new workspace designed for modern emergency medicine.
The New Era of Emergency Care:
- Utilise advanced infrastructure including 4 new resuscitation bays, a 16-bed Short Stay Unit (SSU) and purpose-built dedicated fast-track paediatric and behavioural assessment zones.
- Join as a foundational member of a major service expansion, offering long-term clinical growth in a high-tech environment serving one of Australia’s fastest-growing corridors.
- Opportunity to rotate to other specialities in-house that satisfy non-ED training such as ICU, Anaesthetics and O&G. The new Emergency Department is ACEM accredited as a non-major referral centre for 2 years of training.
- Satisfy the Paediatric Log book (PBL) component of training.
- Benefit from weekly protected registrar education and direct FACEM mentorship as the service scales.
- Benefit from a reverse commute against traffic from the CBD or Inner-West.
