Werribee Mercy Hospital is doubling its Emergency Department capacity to 67 treatment spaces. We are looking for the next generation of clinical leaders to help us navigate this milestone expansion.
This is a full-scale service expansion into a brand-new, purpose-built building. While the infrastructure is entirely new and designed for upgraded models of care, the foundation is an existing, high-functioning team. We are scaling a proven model of care within a high-performance, intentionally designed department culture.
Strategic Expansion & Infrastructure:
- Work in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built workspace featuring 4 dedicated resuscitation bays, a 16-bed Short Stay Unit (SSU) and custom-designed fast-track paediatric and behavioural assessment zones.
- Help lead a service expansion in one of Australia’s fastest-growing corridors, backed by a stable leadership team that prioritises specialist wellbeing and clinical excellence.
- We offer flexibility in FTE configuration.
- Emergency physicians with PEM qualifications or experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Maintain your commitment to teaching in a department that remains ACEM accredited and focused on the next generation of Emergency clinicians.

Criteria:
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM).
- Eligibility for Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
