Title: Mission Systems and Software Lead
Contract duration: Initial 6 months plus extensions
Location: Amberley
Join a high-performing engineering team dedicated to the development of cutting-edge Autonomous and Collaborative Platforms (ACPs). In this pivotal role, you will lead the coordination and implementation of rapidly iterative Mission Systems and Software, with an initial focus on the MQ-28A program. You will act as a key technical liaison, bridging the gap between international government stakeholders and industry partners to ensure project alignment with critical Air Force requirements.
What You Will Do:
Lead and coordinate the development of interchangeable Mission Systems and Software for autonomous platforms.
Act as the technical lead for incorporating 3rd party mission autonomy, ensuring adherence to Air Force requirements.
Manage multi-disciplinary working groups to establish an effective ecosystem for mission systems and software.
Provide SME-level technical briefs on autonomy architectures to enterprise stakeholders as required.
Derive and assess requirements for future platform roadmaps, including digital and simulation environments.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
Active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
Extensive experience with Autonomy Software and the implementation of Mission Systems architectures.
Minimum of 5 years of experience within military aviation acquisition or sustainment.
Proven SME skills in the management, sustainment, and upgrade of aviation mission software.
Previous experience working with uncrewed aircraft systems is highly desirable.
