We have a rare opportunity for reliable and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the lift industry on a 6 month fixed term contract and work on a number of key construction projects located in and around the Melbourne area.
As a Fitter you will play a critical role in ensuring that vertical transportation systems are installed and operate safely and efficiently within major construction sites and existing building service routes.
... About the role:
In this position, you will be responsible for installing elevators and escalators on major commercial construction projects.
A normal day will include:
- Assembling, aligning, and installing mechanical components of lifts and escalators.
- Performing trouble shooting on new installs.
- Reading drawings and plans and following assembly instructions
- Adhering to strict safety and compliance procedures.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a commitment to safety and technical excellence.
Requirements include:
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering / Fitting).
- Current Working at Heights ticket(within 2 years)
- White Card
- EWP licence highly desirable
- Valid drivers licence
- Previous experience in the lift or construction industry is highly regarded, though transferrable mechanical backgrounds will be considered.
- Professional approach to customer service and safety protocols.
