The Role:
This is a high-level technical position specifically designed for a tradesperson who wants to move into the booming Wind & Renewable Energy sector.
Based out of a specialized facility in the Northern Suburbs, you will split your time between the workshop and field sites across Victoria. While the goal is to have you home for the weekends, this role offers the chance to travel interstate and eventually across the APAC region (Vietnam, PNG, and beyond) as you master these complex systems.
What you will be doing:
You’ll be provided with world-class training to perform high-stakes technical work on-site:
- Specialized Maintenance: Service and repair high-end gearboxes and heavy industrial drive systems.
- Fault Finding: Think on your feet to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on-site where environments change quickly.
- Technical Reporting: Use your digital savvy (Laptop & Phone provided) to create detailed reports and communicate with the engineering team.
- Physical Challenge: This is a "hands-on" role that requires physical fitness—you’ll be climbing and working at heights within wind turbines.

What we need from you:
We are looking for a tradesperson with "Grey Matter"—someone who can solve puzzles under pressure.
- The Background: Trade Qualified (Mechanical/Diesel). Experience with heavy gearboxes or heavy industrial service (e.g., renewables, mining, or large-scale workshop) is the ideal fit.
- Digital Literacy: Comfortable using software for reporting and documentation.
- Physical Fitness: You are comfortable with climbing and working in confined spaces.
- Adaptability: You’re a problem solver who thrives when plans change and can work autonomously on-site.
- Essentials: A valid driver’s licence and a genuine desire to travel.
