About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Finance, this is a critical leadership role designed for a 'true' FP&A specialist. This position is focused on prioritising strategic budgeting, complex forecasting, and deep-dive financial analysis to support the organisation's rapid growth.
As the agency operates in a 'greenfield' or start-up mode, you will be responsible for defining financial profiles and identifying key cost drivers that will shape the organisation’s future. We are seeking a resilient, partnership-focused manager who can navigate ambiguity and build sophisticated planning frameworks from the ground up. You will lead and mentor a team of three Finance Business Partners to deliver high-quality insights that drive executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development and refinement of budgets and forecasts to align with organisational and governmental goals, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Business Partnering: Act as a key advisor to executive leadership, providing high-quality coaching and insights on cost drivers, financial initiatives, and business performance.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, delivering actionable insights to improve financial integrity.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering an environment where people feel valued, safe, and able to participate.
- Process Improvement: Drive efficiency by identifying recurring problems and integrating innovative solutions into work processes to enhance the relevance of financial information.
Skills & Experience Required
- CPA or CA (Mandatory requirement)
- Sector Experience: Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, energy, utilities, or complex government environments is highly regarded.
- Expertise: Proven track record in 'true' business partnering, including complex budgeting, forecasting, and engaging stakeholders on financial profiles and cost drivers.
- Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organisation, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
