Maintenance Plan Advisor (AO6) – Strategic Facilities Planning
 
Are you a highly meticulous and experienced Maintenance Planner ready to play a pivotal role in maintaining safe and efficient public facilities?
We are seeking a proactive Infrastructure Services Officer (Maintenance Plan Advisor) on a long-term contract basis to ensure the effective upkeep of a vast property portfolio. This is a chance to apply your strategic asset management and data analysis skills in a crucial public sector environment.
This role is based in Brisbane City but requires a high degree of travel flexibility, including week-on/week-off arrangements.
 
Your Opportunity
The Maintenance Plan Advisor drives the effective upkeep of facilities by prioritizing data, building elements, safety, and efficiency. You will utilize your expertise to provide high-level advice on facilities planning, investment, and asset management issues to schools and senior staff.
  Key Responsibilities:
          ... Strategic Planning: Provide quality advice and consultancy on facilities planning, investment, and portfolio operations.
 Maintenance Execution: Manage and monitor the delivery of designated capital works, maintenance, and facilities services against defined scope, budget, and quality standards.
 Asset Governance: Conduct and report on operational audits of physical assets. 
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare high-level documentation, including ministerial responses and briefing materials, and advise senior officers on complex asset management issues.
 Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with regional facilities teams, external service providers, and other agencies to deliver comprehensive field-based support.

 Essential Skills & Experience:
 Maintenance Expertise: Strong knowledge of building maintenance processes and asset management systems.
 Accuracy & Quality: Demonstrated high level of accuracy and quality in planning and execution. 
 Problem-Solving: Critical ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. 
 Workload Management: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, allocate resources efficiently , and manage workloads effectively. 
 Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and provide guidance. 
 Compliance: Must hold a valid Blue Card and successfully complete a criminal history check. 
 Flexibility: Must be flexible to travel, including week-on/week-off arrangements. 
Prior experience in school and building maintenance is considered highly advantageous.
