The Opportunity
Our client is a global pioneer in advanced automated warehousing, and they are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their Melbourne facility. This isn't your standard "grease and oil" fitters' role; you will be responsible for the heartbeat of a high-risk, high-oxygen-reduced (hypoxic) environment, ensuring that complex electrical and mechanical systems support critical food deliveries for clients.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Technical Troubleshooting: Performing planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-art facility equipment.
- Breakdown Response: Minimizing equipment downtime through efficient problem-solving and rapid response.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the Operations and Planning teams to manage site impacts.
- Safety Leadership: Maintaining a safe working environment and strictly adhering to QESH and COR procedures.
What You Need to Bring
We are looking for technicians who are physically capable and technically sound.
- Trade Qualified: You must be a Qualified Electrician (Victorian License) or a Maintenance Fitter and Turner with a reconnect/Disconnect licence.
- PC Literacy : They have a state of the art Warehouse Management System (WMS) so exposure to a Warehouse Management System is essential, there is also SCADA and everything is Automated.
- Physical Capability: You must be physically fit and comfortable working in extreme temperatures (ranging from 8°C down to -23°C). Train for your annual snowboarding trips, without leaving the country ….

- Confined Spaces & Heights: You must be able to fit within tight spaces (think 32 cm shafts) and be comfortable working at heights. If you love rock climbing and adventures, you will love this job!
- Licenses that would be beneficial: A valid Forklift license, Scissor Lift certification, and WAH/Rescue certification are mandatory.
