We're seeking a highly experienced, trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter for an important Australian FMCG Manufacturer in Banksmeadow area.
This is a permanent, stable position reporting to the Maintenance Manager, focused on maintaining a high-speed, busy manufacturing environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be the hands-on specialist ensuring smooth, continuous operation of the production lines. Key duties include:
Executing preventive maintenance and machinery servicing.
Rapidly attending breakdowns, problem solving, and fault resolution.
Repair and/or replacement of machinery and parts.
Driving and contributing to Continuous Improvement Projects.
Maintaining effective stock control of all relevant consumables.
Who We Are Looking For:
A recognised Trade qualification as a Fitter.
Ideally, 5+ years of previous experience as a maintenance fitter.
A background in fast-paced FMCG manufacturing is highly desirable.
The ability to work rotating 2-weekly shifts (day-afternoon-night).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand overall production and operational systems.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
Highly Desirable: Restricted electrical license.
