Landscape Rehabilitation Inspector/Supervisor
Are you an experienced Landscape and Rehabilitation professional ready for a long-term contract role managing critical on-ground works in the Logan area?
We are seeking a proactive Landscape Rehabilitation Inspector/Supervisor to join a major water infrastructure delivery program. This is a long-term contract (6+ months)and a potential pathway to a permanent role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure compliance, quality, and coordination across various ecological restoration projects within a large utility setting.
The Role and Your Impact
You will be supporting the Landscape Rehabilitation Specialist in managing and delivering on-ground rehabilitation works. Your focus will be site-based, ensuring all activities meet strict standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections across project phases (construction, establishment, or maintenance) and assess works against approved plans, specifications, and scopes.
- Coordination & Direction: Provide on-site direction, resolve issues as they arise, and coordinate extensively with subcontractors, project engineers, site supervisors, and the environment team.
- Technical Interpretation: Utilize your ability to interpret technical drawings, rehabilitation plans, and environmental reports.
- Documentation: Document all site decisions and actions with appropriate timeframes, and communicate via Outlook and Aconex.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Occasionally liaise with internal branches, public stakeholders, and council representatives (via the Communications team).
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with strong site management and coordination capabilities.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years experience in landscape rehabilitation, revegetation, or ecological restoration, preferably within infrastructure or utility settings.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil management practices in South East Queensland and familiarity with standard contract frameworks.
- Qualifications: Ideally possess a Degree, Diploma, or demonstrated experience in:
- Natural Resource Management
- Landscape Architecture
- Landscaping Construction or Cert III
- Project Management (with landscape experience)
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable.
