The Role:
This is a highly sought-after technical role based in Melbourne's northern suburbs, offering stability and growth.
Your first six months will be dedicated to learning the industry - and the equipment you will be servicing - ensuring you are fully up to speed before moving into client-facing field service.
Following this, you will transition into local and interstate travel (regional VIC, NSW, SA, QLD) for commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown support, including occasional weekend stays.
What you will be doing:
The core of the role is highly electrical (95% of the work), requiring sharp diagnostic skills combined with mechanical know-how.
... - Electrical Focus: Provide expert diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical faults on production machinery.
- Mechanical Tasks: Install, align, and repair mechanical components (stills, fillers, presses, motors, pumps).
- Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics for precise installation and repairs.
- Fault Diagnosis: Identifying and resolving complex issues such as component failure, misalignment, and mechanical wear.
- Teamwork: Work closely with the General Manager, Service Manager and the rest of the Service Team to service clients efficiently.

What we need from you:
Our Client is seeking someone who is with a great attitude, who is close to site in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
- Attitude is Non-Negotiable: A fantastic, willing-to-learn attitude and a strong commitment to customer service are a must.
- Electrical experience: Strong electrical experience - PLCs, VSDs etc. (95% of the job) complemented by mechanical aptitude.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Previous experience within the beverage manufacturing industry is ideal - winemaking, breweries, bottling plants etc.
- Team & Communication: Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication are a must.
- Essentials: Valid driver’s licence, computer and phone literate.
- Desirable Tickets: EWP, confined space, LF forklift.
